Toby is a rescued Basset Hound that had a rough start. Following the diagnoses of severe hip arthritis secondary to an earlier injury, he underwent surgery to remove the head of the femur in order to relieve arthritis and pain. But that was not successful and the leg was eventually amputated.
Toby was experiencing chronic pain syndrome and drug therapy alone was not enough to ease his pain. In addition, after the amputation, he exhibited obvious signs of drepression, refusing to eat or to even attempt to get up from his bed on his own. CES therapy was prescribed and the owners administered it at home 2-3x daily in 30 minute increments for two weeks. At that time Toby's attitude, appetite, sleep and interaction with the family was back to normal.
"It was the only time Toby could sleep, he was in so much pain" says Nora Schild, his mom, about the CES treatments. "It was obvious he loved the Alpha-Stim - he relaxed right away and soon he was back to his old self. I must admit I was skeptical when Dr. Frick first recommended it, but after witnessing the relief it gave Toby, I fast became an advocate of CES treatment."
If You Could See Her Leaping Now!
SIGNALMENT: Six year old f/s indoor Birman cat became acutely paretic. Initial examination, CBC, chemistry, and radiographs were not diagnostic. Treatment included a corticosteroid injection. Toxoplasmosis test pending.
ASSESSMENT: The cat was declining in status daily. Proprioceptive reflexes were very slow to negligible. She could not stand or walk. Some nystagmus was present.
THERAPY: Alpha-Stim® MET animal spinal protocol using the probes was administered twice a day. Each session included CES application for 20 minutes. Standard Process® whole food supplements and physical therapy exercises were delivered twice a day.
RESULTS: Within 12 hours after her initial Alpha-Stim® treatment she had improved and her reflexes were stronger. Two days later a Toxoplasmosis test result was positive and Clindamycin antibiotic was prescribed. By day sixteen she was standing and taking a few steps, at six weeks she was walking well and shortly thereafter jumping again. Her caretaker attributes the speed of her recovery to the quick implementation of Alpha-Stim® and her whole rehabilitation program.

"Animals are very in tune to their bodies and will generally respond quicker to Alpha-Stim® therapy than do humans," says Dr. Ava Frick, who according to Dr. Dan Kirsch of Electromedical Products International, is the world's leading authority of microcurrent therapy in animals.
Dr. Frick has directed more than 3,000 animal Alpha-Stim® treatments customized to each species.
